Slice has hired Jayant Mittal as its new Chief Financial Officer. Mittal joins Slice from Amazon, where he most recently spent four years as Director of Worldwide Corporate Development.
“We are excited to benefit from Jayant’s broad financial and strategic experience, as well as his leadership,” said Ilir Sela, founder and CEO of Slice. “Our business is at an exciting inflection point and Jayant will be an incredible asset for us. He’ll undoubtedly play an integral role in our development as we scale to over $1 billion in annual pizza sales.”
Mittal drove unprecedented growth in emerging markets for Amazon with expertise ranging from fintech to robotics. He also represented the company’s interest as a board member for Deliveroo, Europe’s premier online ordering platform.
Before Amazon, Mittal held leadership positions with GenPact, Credit Suisse, and i2 Technologies. In his new role as Slice CFO, Mittal will drive business improvement initiatives to expand the company’s already sizable reach. Today, Slice holds the nation’s largest pizza network, spanning over 3,000 cities across all 50 states.
With 16,000 partners in total, Slice has more than doubled the U.S. footprint of Domino’s. A proven catalyst for growth and innovation, Mittal sees Slice capturing an even larger share of the $46 billion domestic market.
