These are the best white pies you’ll find in Los Angeles:
Prime Pizza

Ask anyone in Brooklyn for the best white pie in town, and they’re likely to direct you to Williamsburg’s Best Pizza. In Los Angeles, they’ll probably send you to Fairfax’s Prime Pizza, which is co-owned by the same man, Frank Pinello (of Vice fame).
The white pie here follows a similar, but different formula from its east coast partner. This particular pie has a three-cheese blend (mozz, ricotta, fontina) with garlic, parmesan, and parsley rounding out a tomato sauceless flavor bomb.

North End Pizza
With a crisp crust, North End Pizza offers up some of the best tomato sauceless pizzas in Los Angeles. Their standard white pie comes topped with fresh spinach, mozzarella, and ricotta, while but they also have a “vegetarian” version that swaps Popeye’s favorite food for tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, and olives.
Vito’s Pizza

Vito’s Pizza isn’t afraid to spice it up, as their Serrano Sauced Pizza indicates. Available with either grilled chicken or meatballs on top, it’s one of the most unique white pies we’ve ever had.
Other tomato sauceless options: a strong pesto pizza, a white pie with arugula, prosciutto, gorgonzola, and pine nuts, and “The Sofia Loren” with onions and goat cheese.
Asparagus Pizza
We love the White Knight pizza at Los Angeles’ Asparagus Pizza, which comes topped with ricotta, mozzarella, tomatoes, fresh garlic, and oregano. They also boast a mean tomato sauceless pesto pizza with mozz and fresh tomatoes.
Big Mama’s & Papa’s Pizzeria
You’ll be California Dreaming for this white pie, dressed simply with olive oil, garlic, basil, and mozzarella. Also check out the Godfather when you want a tomato sauceless pizza with grilled chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and mushrooms.
Mulberry St. Pizza
Mulberry Street Pizza was the first Los Angeles pizzeria to win NY transplants over with its New York-style pies. The standard pie here is solid, but many favor the white pies, including the tomato sauceless fresh spinach pizza. Or, for a taste of New Haven in L.A., go for their white clam pizza.
Joe’s Pizza

Who needs tomato sauce when you can get a killer white pie from Joe’s Pizza off of S. Spring St.? A nice touch – they also offer their white pie by-the-slice for when you want to diversify your pizza portfolio in Los Angeles.
That Pizza Place
You won’t forget the name of this Los Angeles slice shop, nor will you forget their white pizza with chicken, spinach, two-cheese mix, and garlic cream sauce.
