Slice shops are coming together to feed the hungry on National Pizza Day. With their generosity and your support, this year’s Pizza Across America could be the best one yet.
From coast to coast, shops will donate their pies to shelters, soup kitchens, and care centers to ensure that everyone can celebrate on Tuesday, Feb. 9.
“Sure, restaurants are having a tough year, but there are many people who are suffering more than we are.” said co-founder Carmine Testa. “Together, we help the pizza lovers who need us the most. I figured that it’s the best way to honor the holiday.”
The folks at Slice Out Hunger agreed. When Testa pitched his idea in 2018, the pizza nonprofit got on board instantly. And, naturally, Pizza Across America tapped us to deliver in all 50 states.
“I was fired up,” Slice Out Hunger founder Scott Wiener said, “And, this year, the fight against our nation’s growing food insecurity problem is even more critical.”
Ready to double your good deed by supporting restaurants and the less fortunate all at once?
