I am thrilled to announce the hire of Paula-Jo (PJ) Oleksak as Slice’s new Chief Business Officer.

Before joining Slice, PJ spent eight years with FreshDirect. At FreshDirect, she was Chief Growth Officer, as well as the co-founder and President of FoodKick by FreshDirect. In these dual roles, PJ was responsible for all consumer revenue generation, e-commerce, analytics, and customer service.

PJ established the FoodKick business within FreshDirect, an on-demand grocery delivery business that curates unique food offerings daily and delivers them to customers’ doors in as little as an hour. PJ was also responsible for evaluating and building out new business extensions and geographic expansion for FreshDirect. 

Before FreshDirect, PJ spent five years working in private equity at PineBridge Investments, investing in both mezzanine and equity investments, predominantly in the consumer products and logistics industries. Previously, she was an Investment Banking Analyst at Harris Williams, working on sell-side M&A transactions. PJ holds a BS in Finance and Accounting from the University of Richmond, Summa cum Laude.

As our Chief Business Officer, PJ will oversee Slice’s revenue, operations, customer service, and go-to-market, across all of our consumer and restaurant products. Here’s what she had to say on her new role:
